About Rakan

After graduating with a bachelor's degree in marketing in 2013, Rakan moved to Los Angeles to complete his master's degree. When the first semester ended, he followed his passion and joined SCI to get his culinary certificate.

After participating in local and international culinary competitions, including Top Chef Middle East Season 2, his career shifted to another level when he started working at the Four Seasons Hotel in December 2017.

He started his journey in media in 2017 after Top Chef, his first TV cooking show was in May 2018 at Abu Dhabi Chanel, his second was in May 2019 at Rotana Chanel, then he filmed three cooking TV shows in 2020, 2021, and 2023.

He works in high-end international events during his journey to share his passion with the world, such as the World Economic Forum 2018 in Switzerland, Saudi Cultural Day 2018 in New York, Saudi Films Day 2018 in Los Angeles, Diplomatic Saudi Evening 2019 South Africa, National Day 2019 China, Fashion Future 2019 Saudi Arabia, G20 Ministers of Finance dinner 2019 Saudi Arabia, Saudi Founding Day Dariya 2023, and Saudi Cup 2023 Riyadh.

He was named Best Saudi Chef 2018 by the Saudi Tourism Excellence Awards, Best Saudi Chef 2019, and Ambassador for Riyadh Season 2019 by the General Entertainment Authority.

He was awarded the most prestige’s award in Saudi. He won the first-place culinary honor in the national cultural awards 2020-2021 by the Ministry of Culture.


He has opened Suhail, a fine dining concept that combines authentic traditional Saudi food with exceptional service and contemporary design.

Rakan has worked with Alkhozama management company on Maiz concept, a high-end Saudi cuisine restaurant with the ultimate fancy experience in Dariya.

In 2022 he followed his passion and established his own catering company KIT. The same year, he traveled to Paris to enhance his pastry skills. In Ferrandi Paris, he studied and practiced for the advanced French pastry diploma.
